The Gardening Life

Today, I need to tell you about these flowers that we bought last year on a whim! They are called Purslane, and we planted them in this large watering can in our front yard. Within a few weeks, we began to notice that they were blooming from the ground, feet away from the watering can! After awhile, you could see all of the beautiful blooms all over the garden and it was gorgeous! Seeds were dropping onto the ground and being washed to different areas, and we were excited to see where it would bloom next!

This year, we had to have that back again! I wish these were Perennials, and not annuals, but they are so worth the purchase every year! So far, we have only found them at Walmart, and I do have them linked in my LIKEtoKNOW.it and my ShopYourLikes, if you’d rather order them! You can purchase them as a plant or just the seeds, so I linked several options!

Which brings me to the question…why are plants that grow every year called Perennials, and not Annuals??🤔
